heroes and icons is a collage of sound made up of childrens records, hip hop beats, field recordings of street music and captured sounds forced together with a live performance sampler, a record player and cdj. creating a time and place made up of many different and distinct eras that create mental images of a time gone by but still ever present in our media driven society. crackling records, black and white television commercials, lost cassette recordings from family vacations, and other lost memories.
