This video documents the progress of a 4.5’x8′ painting that I have been working on since the beginning of January. It still is not finished, but it has gone through a lot. The video also features a track of mine that will be on an album coming out later this year. Continued progress will be documented and posted here so be sure to check back for updates. Cheers! Jesse
bear – rising figure – bear
float through – he arrives free of time – clearly overlooked – between clouds and meteors – most have never seen him – the giant polar bear that arrives in night – desire appears as a third eye – evolve claws do to circumstance and practicality – do misjudge reality – the world just is its not out to get you – spontaneously he transformed into a turtle – an owl with human hands sprouted from his shoulders – the wisdom of moving slow and always looking – the tail had shown itself an entire day before its purpose not understood until now – this brought fourth the tortoise – he could grow into a dinosaur and evolve past man – blind man reads his own palms – cross armed – tentacle branch
First completed painting of 2011! Too bad I was working on it for the past 3 weeks..

Just got back from my demo/lecture/workshop – in Puerto Vallarta at Hacienda Mosaico, and I have to say that it was easily the best class experience I have ever had. Not only was the location great, but the students were all amazing too. It is hard to put into words what the experience was like, and pictures can’t do it justice either, but here are some shots that will hopefully give you a better picture. The whole experience was so great that I have already started planning a class for next year at the same location. I really feel that the relaxed and beautiful atmosphere at Hacienda Mosaico allows peoples inner creativity to flow more easily. If you are interested in signing up, shoot me an email. There are only 10 spots available, and I can guarantee they will be filled fast. The class will happen right around the first week of dec 2011. lodging is on site, breakfast and lunch are provided, along with margaritas waiting after class sam is an outstanding host and the grounds are perfect for working and relaxing.. the hacienda is located within about a mile of just about anything you could need, the ocean, medical care, shopping, relaxation, etc, etc, etc..
Just edited some photos of the opening. Thank you to Claire, Sam and everyone who came out to support my work! I really enjoyed the Puerto Vallarta art scene, and was super excited to show my work at Galleria Dante. I’m already scheduled to go back for a visit 3 times as long next year! A post with more pictures from the trip, and about the class at Hacienda Mosaico will be coming in the next few days.
