I just recently released a new 40 pg catalog of works I have created in the last year. This book displays the connection between my evolving style and ideas through paintings words and photos.
I will be teaching two open level workshops at Art Unraveled in Arizona August 5th-7th. Register now, there are 4 spots left in each workshop.
If you have NOT taken a workshop with me before this is a great overview into my ideas and methods. If you have taken a workshop this is a wonderful way to get refreshed and motivated!
I focus on teaching students the value of creating using loose and free techniques. Breaking down boundaries and confined ideas about art, learning to move fluidly allowing an engaged experience rather than one removed by rules and ideas of steps to perfection. It’s better to make mistakes than stand around worrying about them. Some of the best things happen on accident. Learning to move forward with each step to focus on art being fun rather than stressful. To create free and expressive work we must have fun and feel free to take risks. This is what makes work resonate with passion.
I have one spot left in my advanced level workshop.
To take this class you should have a firm understanding of all the basic concepts of my teachings and should have taken a level 2 class or multiple level one classes.
I am very excited about the new tools and exercises I have planned for this class. More information and to sign up go here —> http://jessereno.com/level-3.html

You are invited to view a brand new body of work by Jesse Reno in his working gallery space on June 13th, 2015 6-10 pm at True Measure Gallery- 3022 E Burnside Portland, OR 97214 and celebrate its one year anniversary. The event will showcase over 300 additional paintings. There will be music, food, drinks, and coloring books for the first 50 people that attend.
Jesse Reno’s newest works which will be highlighted at the show deal with the idea of fragments and connection. Feeling rather than knowing. Choosing instinct over logic to achieve desire rather than defined outcomes. The chaos of volcanos, the collapse of an avalanche, the weight of an anchor, the idea of buoyancy over balance. Some locks do not open with keys. A world where candy canes grow at the tops of mountains. Freedom comes from belief and choice. All things are connected.
